A huge “THANK YOU” to everyone who came out to support us!!!

Texas Best Used Motorcycles

Our “Stars, Stripes & Tailpipes” grand opening event for Texas Best Used Motorcycles came off without a hitch. Texas Best Used MotorcyclesThe entire AMTC / TBUM team worked very hard for several weeks to make it happen, and happen it did. With our vendors and friends helping spread the word, the event was a total success. Blake Leuke, co-owner, estimated around 1500-2000 people came and went throughout the day.

After the parking lots filled up with cars and bikes, vehicles began lining up on both sides of the street as far as you could see. It was an AWESOME sight!

Plus, we sold several motorcycles, and made lots of new friends!

Everything was in place and ready to rock when the event officially kicked off at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Vendors hung out their shingles, cars and bikes Texas Best Used Motorcyclesstarted rolling in for the show, food vendors were firing off the grills and cookers, the first band was “Chasing Rent”, and they started off crankin’ out the jams. The sales team was in place, and the showroom filled up as the line of registrants grew in hopes of winning the 2003 Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Sportster.

Leading up to the grand finale drawing at 4:00, we held drawings for some great door prizes every hour on the hour, with over 30 winners claiming the loot. Along with our awesome vendors (listed below), we’d like to also offer a special thanks to the  following sponsors who donated items for the door prize drawings –
Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties, Biker’s Choice/Tucker Rocky, MDS & AMTC

High Heels & Hard tails   DowntownJulee Brown & Christie Crawford

Alex, DowntownJulee Brown, and Rachel of “Hardtails & High Heels”, with Christie Crawford of Biker Rally Camps were on the scene helping to keep things rolling (and pouring). Thanks Ya’ll!!!

Taz's Detail getting their shine on.

Taz’s Professional Detail Service was busy all day gettin’ their shine on! Taz and his crew have set up shop at American Motorcycle Trading Company in Arlington, and they detail all of our bikes before they are pictured and uploaded to our website.

There were some really amazing cars and motorcycles in our car/bike show. This cool rat rod and custom bagger won the “People’s Choice” awards.

“Chasin’ Rent” & “57 Sauce” kept the tunes comin’ until we had the drawing for the Sportster at 4:00. That’s when “The Rumble Kings” stepped in to rock the house all the way through our after party from 5:00 til 7:00.

The Rumble Kings

Alex walked around all day selling tickets for our 50/50 drawing and collected $305. The last drawing of the day consisted of the remaining door prizes, the 50/50 drawing, and finally, the drawing for the Sportster.

The winner of the  50/50 drawing was Lonnie Warren, and he collected $152.50. Lonnie came into the event just a few minutes before the drawing, and just happened to purchase the next to the last ticket. What luck!

Well, it doesn’t end there –

2003 Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Sportster   Sportster winner with Hardtails & High Heels Girls

Not only did Lonnie Warren get to the event late, and buy his 50/50 tickets late, he barely got his ticket for the Sportster drawing just in time to be entered.

Now folks, I personally stirred that pot, and stirred it some more, and then stirred it again – but guess what? Lonnie won the Sportster too!

So, what kind of luck is that? It’s the kind of luck that had the whole place asking Lonnie to go with them to buy lottery tickets!

Well, he won it fair and square – Congratulations Lonnie!!!

Here’s a video of the drawing and the announcment of the winner –
